The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, will officially launch two new direct routes linking Hanoi with central and Central Highlands provincial capitals of Tuy Hoa and Pleiku late this month. The Hanoi-Tuy Hoa route will operate on October 24 and serve three flights a week. The Hanoi-Pleiku service will open on October 27 and offer four flights a week.
79-seat Fokker 70 airplanes will be used on both new routes.
At present, the Pleiku airport in Gia Lai province handles seven flights a week from Pleiku to Hanoi with the transit point in the central city of Da Nang.
Passengers will enjoy one-way ticket price of 705,000 VND (around 40 USD) for the flight between Hanoi and Tuy Hoa during the promotion period from the beginning of the new routes till the end of this year.
