“One Team – One Goal” was the motto of a special training program held for Nestlé staff early this month on four uninhabited islands on the Tri An lake, 70 kilometers from downtown Ho Chi Minh City.
The teambuilding program, organized by Vietmark, gave 90 staff members the opportunity to explore ideas of team power, individual perfection and corporate spirit in a spectacular journey that aimed to discover the hidden capacities of each person.

Operating under the “One Team – One Goal” motto, the staff were split into teams that planned out their time, resources and personnel to overcome difficulties to reach their goal most efficiently.
The first challenge for the teams was a trek through the jungle, followed by a much tougher challenge - “Making rafts to cross rivers.” Displaying both individual effort and team spirit, all the teams finished their mission successfully, and repeated the performance with other missions on each island.

On one of the islands, the team members enjoyed a most special lunch where they shared with their companions all the thrilling experiences they’d had so far and discussed the journey that lay ahead.
Finally, the team members talked over their journey and came with suggestions on the best strategies to adopt.

When the last island was “conquered”, the teams set up tents and a bonfire for an overnight stay on the island. Later, all the teams gathered at a secret base to work out their strategies for 2012.
