Although Ke Ga is no longer a new destination, travel agencies know how to make it become an attracting place for team games.
VinaGame’s 80 members –including Vietnamese members and the others coming from USA, Korea, Philippines, China – chose La Gi – Ke Ga to be the training place this summer. Among tense and interesting games, swimming across Ke Ga lighthouse is a challenging task.

Act freely in open sea

Act freely in open sea
Sea surface looked as gentle as surface of the lake and the 500m buoy-string stretched straight from land to the sea made swimming track just stir a little bit, but people still felt worried. Maybe, up to then people had just been used to seabathing on the beach or swimming in the pool, so when acting freely in the open sea they felt themselve tiny. Understanding the anxiety of some people, a member of the travel agency organizing the tour assured that: “the weather today is very nice, wind and wave are calm, there is no current near the bank. Every task to ensure safety has been ready.”
When hearing the sound of siren, all members gathered in group and were conducted to wear life jacket by company’s instructors. Everybody had to fasten not only 3 buckles in front of the breast so that life jacket could not be slipped off when swimming but also the string put between two legs
Teams in turn entered the water. Each team would be accompanied by a life-coracle. Sea surface was higher and higher and surpassed the head when they walk for 50m away from the bank. The line-up started fussing, flag of team moved from side to side. The leader of groups directed, encouraged and instructed his members to swim on their back. The life jacket helped to lift up body to the water surface. Two legs acted slightly, two hands swim along the buoy-string. The whole team looked like a scarlet train going up and down along white buoy-string.
Express the team spirit
Swimming for more than 100m, all members really acted freely in the sea. Legs acted softly, breathing rate was regular, every anxiety was released. Sometime lying on the back, other time creeping on the large sea surface to relax, even some members were lucky enough to come across shoals of small fish frolicing, jumping out of the sea surface looked as if swimming with them. Sometimes, currents in the midst of the sea were likely to sweep them away, however the buoy-string help the line-up to be settled quickly.
It took about 20 minutes of wade to come to the island. Member in turn left buoy-string and swam to the island. With many members, that was the most difficult time so that much of assistance was demanded. Lifebuoys were thrown out from coracles to pull them ashore. Sometimes, there were some members having to join forces to pull and push the others crawl ashore on slippery surfaces of stone close to water edge, …
After the challenge, Mr. Le Hong Minh – manager of VinaGame – valued: “Everyone overcame their fright when having to face with the vast of ocean. Many people thought that they could not cross the trait, but they did with help and encouragement of group’s members. The unity and reciprocal help are power not only to cross the trait this time but also to accomplish daily tasks in company.”

Mr. Truong Hoang Phuong – marketing manager of Vietmark Co., a company specializing in organizing games to train the team spirit in Ke Ga - Ham Thuan Nam, Binh Thuan province – showed principles to ensure safety for tourists when swimming through Ke Ga island:
When participating in, all of the tourists have to wear life jacket in right way, swim along the directing buoy-string and swim in group so members can help one another.
Life coracles and motor-boats must be ready. There must be physicians familiar with first aid to serve the whole group. It is necessary to choose the nice weather without strong wave, wind and current.
