Vietnam Team Building: Home Destination Phan Thiet

Phan Thiet

200kms away from Ho Chi Minh City, The Creator has given Phan Thiet many clean beautiful beaches, interesting ocean views with rolling sand hills, and rock cliffs with variegated shapes of granite. Tourism season in Phan Thiet lasts year round with warm sunlight and a very short rainy season. Many geographic names in Phan Thiet have become famous destinations, such as Mui Ne, Hon Rom, Ke Ga, and La Gi.

Phan Thiet also draws visitors by its many original historical, cultural, and art vestiges such as: Duc Thanh vestige, Duc Nghia communal house, Van Thuy Tu communal house, Cham Posanu towers, Co Thach pagoda, and the mountain pagoda Ta Kou.

After the total eclipse of the sun on October 24, 1995, tourism in Phan Thiet was awakened. Infrastructure to serve tourism started to develop at high speed and changed Phan Thiet into the “resort capital” of Vietnam with more than 80 resorts along the beach. The more famous of them being: Phan Thiet Victoria, Novotel Ocean Dunes, Romana, Pandanus, and the Sea Horse, as well as many others.

Phan Thiet has become a paradise for resting; especially as a weekend get away for residents of Ho Chi Minh city. Phan Thiet is also a new destination of our MICE tour with a network of conference rooms for 100 – 200 people, restaurants with many kinds of special seafood, and teambuilding at sea, on sand dunes, and in the nature reserves next to Lam Dong province.

Phan Thiet is a gold star marked on the tourism map and a really attractive destination for everyone.

Places of interest:
Fairies’ Stream

This watercourse is set in stunning natural surroundings, unspoiled by humans and offering spectacular views of mountain water. A majestic peak, coloured in red and white, is near the stream. The colours derive from the soil and sand. Located around 15kms northeast of Phan Thiet, this place is perfect for picnics.

Lighthouse of Khe Ga
Forty-five kilometres south east of Phan Thiet is the island of Khe Ga. This is where a French engineer constructed a lighthouse in the waning days of the 1800s. There were more and more French soldiers in the area, and a lighthouse was required to guarantee the safety of commercial and naval ships. Made of granite, the tower stands 65ms tall and is the province’s only remaining example of European influence.

Phan Thiet Harbour
This picturesque harbour is home to many colourful fishing boats, making for ideal photo opportunities. The harbour is situated at the mouth of the Ca Ty River, which flows through the heart of down-town Phan Thiet. The best time to watch the neighbouring parks and bridges is after sundown, when their colourful lights have been switched on.

Reclining Buddha
Only 30 kms to the south of Phan Thiet on Takou Mountain you can find this elegant reclining Buddha statue, 10 meters high and 49 meters long. You can either hike up through the forest for two to three hours or take the 1.64-kilometer cable car system. Trekking offers walkers a chance to see birds, monkeys, wild flowers and other animals and plants up-close along the trail up to the peak.

White Lake
This lake is located around 65kms north east of Phan Thiet. The white sand dunes bordering it give the beach its name. The landscape has, however, transformed over the course of time and today greenery covers most of the white sand. Lining the edge of the lake are attractive, blooming lotus flowers.

Mui Ne dunes
Mui Ne is located 24kms northeast of the town of Phan Thiet. It is a fishing village as well as a popular tourist spot in Binh Thuan Province. Mui Ne is famous for its enormous sand dunes. A lot of photographs have been taken here. The wind makes dunes move which forms a variety of colourful dunes. Mui Ne is also an ideal place for relaxation. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the sea or climbing to the sand dunes.

Cham vestiges
Built in the 8th century, a small Cham tower called Po Shanu is located about 6kms from Phan Thiet on the way to Mui Ne. There are other three towers constructed in the Hoa Lai artistic style situated on a hill called the Prince Palace. Another Cham vestige is Cham Royal Family Collection. This is a collection of more than 100 precious objects once belonging to King Po Klong Moh Nai, the last Cham king ruling in the early 17th century.
